Do you need external support?

As an experienced patent attorney and colleague worker, I will be happy to be of service to you - ideally in the form of a long-term cooperation, but also in the case of occasional work overload. Your orders will be handled professionally; the quality of my work benefits from more than 20 years of professional experience in IP rights, especially in German, European and international patent law.

Particularly when it comes to patent applications (such as first-time applications), the following aspects are vital for a long-term success:

● thorough understanding and consideration of all aspects of an invention right from the very beginning;

● precise description of all key aspects and details to the point;

● a foresighted supply of supplementary definitions ensuring a sustainable disclosure in the event of later claim amendments (both formal and on the merits); and

● properly thought-through relation between all degrees of abstraction and exemplary embodiments

Also during pending patent procedings - be it concerning own or third parties' patent rights - further vital assets are:

● accurate and verifiable analysis of the cited prior art;

● substantiated, reliable delimitations of features in the course of the procedure;

● well-founded and convincing arguments submitted to patent authorities and/or opponent parties; and

● foresight on the further procedure (including parallel IP procedings abroad, if any).

In particular, I take on commissioned work (in German or English language) in the context of German, European or international patent applications or patent procedings as well as for national procedings in Europe and abroad (e.g. in US, CA, CN, JP, KR, IN etc. ) ; typically for the following:

- patent applications

- responses to the office actions

- instruction letters (German; English) for correspondence with foreign colleague attorneys worldwide

- Reports for clients with recommendations how to proceed further

- Legal actions before the respective instances of the proceedings

- oppositions and responses / submissions in patent opposition proceedings

- opposition or appeal proceedings before the DPMA, BPatG, EPA

- further written submissions in patent proceedings

- Translations of patent applications, office actions, responses or instruction letters etc. (English - German)
